Multiparametric MRI of the prostate

As of 1^st July 2018 Medicare have introduced new items for Specialist Referral of Multiparametric Magnetic Resonance Imaging (mpMRI) of the Prostate for:

men suspected of having prostate cancer (MBS item 63541)

and

men with low or intermediate risk prostate cancer placed on active surveillance (MBS item 63543)
