SUBPOENAS AND REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION

Issuing a Subpoena, summons or statutory notice

All subpoenas that require the production of documents or diagnostic medical images on behalf of North Coast Radiology (“NCRG”) should be addressed to:

Conduct Money

NCRG expects to receive conduct money with any subpoena.  Conduct money is to offset the administrative costs involved in searching, locating, reviewing, copying and delivering documents in compliance with that subpoena.

The minimum amount of conduct money provided with a subpoena is $60, by way of cheque made out to “North Coast Radiology Group”.  This amount will cover up to two hours searching records, reviewing records, copying up to 100 pages and delivery. If the time involved and records located go beyond these presumptions, NCRG may contact you to discuss payment of additional costs.

 

Requests for Information

NCRG is subject to the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 and the Privacy Act 1988.  The minimum cost of handling a request (except requests under statutory authority) is $60.00.  Payment is required at the time of the request.

Public Holidays – Easter & Anzac day

All of our branches will be closed over Easter from Good Friday and will reopen on the following Tuesday. They will also be closed on Anzac day (Monday) and open normal hours from Tuesday 26th. For more information please use the Contact Us page.

Due to staff having to isolate because of Covid we are closing the Byron Bay branch for one day Thursday 13th January and the Goonellabah branch on the Friday the 14th January. All other branches are open if you need an urgent appointment on those days.

CT NOW OPEN GOONELLABAH North Coast Radiology Goonellabah is proud to announce the addition of a brand-new CT scanner to our service.   The state-of-the-art Cannon CT technology aims to optimise scanning for our patients and offers Low Dose CT scans. A CT Scan is used to look at the internal structures of the body. Both soft tissues (eg brain, liver, kidneys, lungs) and bone can be seen. The images are cross-sections of the body, and the CT computer generates a great variety of images, based on what the doctor is looking for.
