Covid-19 Information for referrers

During this time of uncertainty, North Coast Radiology Group will continue to provide professional services to our referring practitioners and patients by maintaining our usual hours of operation and offering all medical imaging modalities including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Xray, Mammography and Bone Densitometry and Interventional Radiology.

 

North Coast Radiology clinics do NOT accept confirmed COVID-19 patients.

 

North Coast Radiology Group have applied strict Infection Control guidelines and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards. All patients will be screened for suspected COVID-19 infection & potential exposure. This includes phone, email & walk in appointments.

 

Screening Questions

 

1. Clinical Criteria

 

  •    Do you currently have any symptoms of a cold or flu such as Fever, Sore throat, Cough, Shortness of breath or
  •    has your GP or Doctor indicated that you may have Pneumonia or a chest infection?

 

2. Epidemiological Criteria

 

  •    Have you returned from international travel in the past 14 days or
  •    had close or casual contact with a person in the past 14 days who has tested positive or suspected of Covid-19.

 

If yes to 1 or 2 and (not Ultrasound or Mammogram), we can perform the examination, but appointment will be marked Infectious, patient to wear surgical mask, they will wait in designated area and PPE protocols to be followed.

 

If yes to any conditions in 1 or 2 and patient requires Ultrasound or Mammogram, we cannot perform the examination until symptoms are clear.
