Attending a North Coast Radiology clinic during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation

North Coast Radiology Group continues to provide trusted analysis, excellence and compassionate care to our patients during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis with an unwavering commitment. We continue to participate in consultation with the Department of Health (Australian Government) and local health authorities to ensure we follow their advice and guidance in maintaining the highest level of safety and quality for our patients and staff.

Please be assured we have industry-leading infection control and personal protective equipment (PPE) management in place, in order to care for our patients to the highest standards so that risks of any infection or transmission of COVID-19 can be minimised.

Our valued patients are asked to assist us with the following COVID-safe practices so we can continue to provide quality care in areas subject to restrictions:

  • All our clinic staff and patients must wear facemasks as mandated by state health authorities. Those with a medical exemption will be required to wear a face shield – we ask that any exempted patients call ahead to speak to us prior to their booking to confirm understanding of this. (Children under 12 are not required to wear a face covering).
  • Please note that if a patient has any cold or flu-like symptoms, respiratory symptoms or fever, we require evidence of a negative COVID-19 test before imaging.
  • All patients must attend their appointments alone. In the event the patient requires a carer, please call ahead for instructions on entry protocol.
  • Hand sanitiser must be utilised by all patients upon arrival.
  • QR code check in must be utilised, making contact tracing faster and more reliable.

In addition, we have instructed staff, who themselves or whose immediate family, show any signs of illness to advise us accordingly and not attend work.
